Lines and Angles Project: Urban Planning
The "big ideas" that this project encompassed were clearly stated. I also understand the material, and was able to apply what I learned in completing the product of the project. This project provided adequate practice in the learning outcomes, and helped me improve my skills. In addition, the standards for this project were clearly stated, and I could access them whenever I needed to. Also, as a result of this project, I feel like I know the material well enough to teach it to others. This project was interesting to me, but seemed to have little relevance to my life. This projecting is worth repeating in future years. The entry document was clear about describing the central problem and tasks of the project. There was a balance between teacher-structured time, and time for my group to choose what we needed to learn and do. The rubric for the project was clearly written, and was well connected to the entry document. The project course calendar were regularly updated, and helped me know what was expected of me. Also, assignments and activities helped my learning so effectively that they made it easier to complete the project. Completing the project required me to know the big ideas, and many smaller details. During this project, I did most of my assignments, fulfilled my duties, but had a mediocre work ethic. Although, my attendance was near perfect.

Arcs and Circles: 2012 World Expo
In this project, our client was the US 2012 World Expo Team. Their problem was that they needed designs to submit to the 2012 World Expo in Yeosu, South Korea. They need designs because every big country has an entrance into the competition. We were expected to design a building in AutoCAD that uses arcs and circles and has a theme of "Living Oceans and Coast." We produced an AutoCAD design, a powerpoint that showcased our design (see below), and a prototype of our design (left). I learned about properties and formulas for arcs and circles and relationships that they have. I also learned about using AutoCAD and about designing.

Polygons: Skyscraping
In this project, our client was Ms. Hanzel. She wanted us to create a design for a skyscraper as a dry run for submissions to the Evolo 2012 Skyscraper Competition. We were asked to create a footprint design in AutoCAD of a skyscraper using at least 3 different polygons. After that, we had to turn those footprints into a 3D design. We produced an engraved prototype of our 3D design and a powerpoint showcasing and explaining our designs. We learned about properties of all polygons and how to find all types of measurements of these polygons. I also learned about skyscrapers and why they have certain qualities.
